Don't wanna!
When I was a teenager, we travelled to America and discovered the phenomenon that is Walmart. You can buy a roast chicken and tires in the same place. And clothes, SO much clothes.
I happened to find some cool t-shirts with slogans that I loved as a 16 year old. "Leave me alone", "Still loading..." etc. The one that spoke for me the most? "Don't wanna!" I wore that shirt with pride till it was threadbare.
Little did I know how much that shirt would be needed as I got older.
Eat more vegetables? Don't wanna. Drink less? Don't wanna. Exercise? Don't wanna. New Year's resolution? Don't wanna.
But then you slowly realise that the less vegetables you eat, the more you get sick. And the more martini's you have, the less you sleep. And the less you exercise? Let's just say getting winded blowing bubbles for a toddler is not a good look.
And so every year, people make New Year's Resolutions. "This is the year!" But by February, 80% have quit. Why? It's hard to make big changes and create new habits. Especially if only you are keeping yourself accountable.
James Clear who wrote Atomic Habits says the best way to create a new habit, is to stack it on an old one, and make it easy. So if you get out of bed and put your slippers on, rather put your running shoes on. Then you are more likely to do that exercise.
For me, it's putting The Daily Shake next to the kettle. Make tea in the morning? Have the shake. Easy.
You can do it too. And to make sure you never have to remember to order your next one, just get a subscription, and we'll send it to you. The easiest way to keep up your new years resolution is... We'll do it for you and send it every month!
This is the year! 😉
BONUS! As an extra incentive, use the code "greatbeginnings" to get an extra 10% your next order.
