Do you remember when?
I recently had the chance to meet friends I haven't seen in a very long time. And of course the conversation turns to "Do you remember when?" and "Do you remember so-and-so?"
And now you have that moment as your brain starts multitasking. Who was that? Should I know them? Do we like them? How long have I been staring? Why am I here anyway?
Just nod and smile... Just nod and smile.
Fortunately I didn't ruin any long lost friendships and my memory was an 8 out of 10.
I tribute The Daily Shake. It's got some amazing cognition ingredients. (Make smarter stuff, in case you haven't had your coffee yet!)
Lion’s Mane for instance, is known for its neuroprotective properties. Or saving Gerry's name alongside Sir Farts-a-lot so you don't accidentally call him that 30 years later. Inositol often referred to as vitamin B8, is involved in neurotransmitter signaling. Like getting your old girl friends name from the tip of your tongue to your brain.
L-Theanine promotes relaxation and enhances alpha brain wave activity. So you can bite your tongue as your old nemesis reminds you of all the swirlies he used to submit you to. L-Tyrosine is a precursor to dopamine, associated with memory and cognitive function, especially under stress. Probably why you feel so happy when you remember your bosses latest girlfriend's Tik-tok name. Vitamin B1 has a direct impact on memory. It helps in the synthesis of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in memory and learning. And then there's Copper, Zinc and Vitamin B12 which also all help maintain cognitive function and memory. And if you remember all those, well done! If not, have a shake. The Daily Shake. The hate-taking-capsules why-can't-it-all-be-in-one just-send-it-every-month supplement shake. Available only at greatshakes.co.za
