What would you do with an extra 60 hours?
Every morning my wife would take care of us, by making us tea and a healthy breakfast. But she'd also put out our supplements, for the kids, herself and me.
We had the multivitamins as usual of course, to do all the multivitaminy things. Then we had a digestive supplement, protect that gut! And an antioxidant to keep us young. Then the stress one. And a mood one. And a healthy skin one, and a lady one, and a man one, and kid one. Nearly forgot the immunity one, don't want the yearly flu.
The problem was, it took her 10 minutes every day! Unscrewing bottles, counting capsules, remembering who took how many of what. Then swallowing them all. I could swallow 20 capsules at once, but she had to do it 2 by 2, like Noah's Ark.
I worked it out. 60 hours. 60 hours a year, standing at the counter, counting capsules and flinging her head back to get those capsules down. And the worst part? I made all those capsules.
We felt the benefits of the supplements, so it was worth it! We never got sick, our mood was fairly stable, and the kids were big and strong and healthy.
But those 10 minutes a day, I always wonder if they could have been better spent with us. When she passed away, the importance of saving that precious time every morning was more apparent.
That's why I made The Daily Shake. All the supplements, but in a chocolate shake that takes 30 seconds to make every day. The multivitamin, the gut stuff, the immunity stuff, the good mood stuff, the healthy bones and muscles, it's all in there. And the chocolate flavour is organic cocoa powder, with all its own health benefits!
Plus I don't have fling my head back to get the capsules down, or convince the kids that vitamins are gummy bear shaped.
